Dedicated To Youth Foundation designed the Success For Life program to help your child or teen to learn the social & life skills they will need to be successful in their life. The program will give your child the skills they will need throughout life. Some of the courses and workshops will include: how to choose friends wisely, restaurant etiquette, balancing a checkbook, internet etiquette, and much more.
The following workshops, activities, events, and classes will be offered within the Success For Life program:
- Road-mapto CEO- this program will provide the youth with the skills needed to create create resumes, prepare for job interviews, and create a plan to become a CEO.
- Watch Your Manners – children will be taught that manners are the standard of human behavior and nothing less will be accepted. In addition, the children will be taught a variety of etiquette and basic manners training.
- Public Speaking – within the Public Speaking workshop children will learn how to give an awesome speech or oral presentation no matter where they are. They will be taught how to overcome anxiety, make a good impression, keep the audience attention, and much more.
- Internet Safety – the internet has become the new way of communicating in our daily lives and we want to teach children and teens how to be safe when surfing and communicating through the internet.
- Make, Save, & Share – teens ages 13-17 will learn how to create website/blogs that will generate revenue. Some of the money made will be saved for college, a little will be spent, and some will be shared with a charity or church of the student choosing. In addition, they will learn how to manage money through traditional and non-traditional ways.
- Future Leaders of America – the students will learn the skill necessary to become a leader and not a follower. They will learn what type of mindset and skills are needed and how to develop them. Each student will start and run their own companies.
